Teachers gone crazy

Some friends had a party last Saturday in honor of the Olympics. It got pretty interesting. I still feel weird going all paparazzi with my camera because I don't know these peeps THAT well yet. I was definitely creepy, but the results were worth it.

Best Weekend Ever

Here are a few from the past weekend in Champaign. Nothing that great, but some of you might be amused. There are lots more I'll go through later. It was wonderful to see everyone but so hard to leave them...

Houston Pride Parade

The Teach for America school bus took us to the gay pride parade tonight. It was soooo much fun to get out of the smelly dorms and the parade was super fun. Obvi the parade was at night, so color balances are off. I also need a faster lens...Daddy took the 50mm 1.4 back before I left for Texas. I tried to pan with a few of the photos but it was still difficult to catch motion. Here are a few that kind of turned out okay. I put a few more on Flickr.

blog of life

Blogspot is so 2007 and Tumblr is easier for me to update on the go.
I'll use this blog for decent photos but will update the other more often.

Photo Circle Jerk

Here's some images from our recent photographer send-off. We ate at Courier Cafe Thursday morning and partied/grilled at Josh's Friday night. I was using my dad's 50mm 1.4 and was happy with some of the results. I didn't color edit many of these because I should be studying for finals right now... but you get the point.

Aniruddha Knight at Center for World Music

Out-takes from the freelance assignment I did for the Center for World Music. Indian dancer Aniruddha Knight was performing a 'demonstration' for a group of music scholars in Smith Hall. He performed in Foellenger Auditorium the next day. Here is a Newsweek article on Knght, the ninth generation to dance in his family.
